FRIDAY, JANUARY 10, 2020 @ 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
As part of the community outreach for Write On Door County programs, Write On partners with the Griffon String Quartet’s B Double Sharp program of Midsummer’s Music and writer-in-residence Maryclaire Torinus will present a program on music and memory at Scandia Village in Sister Bay, Wisconsin.
I hope my readers can join me for an afternoon of amazing classical music, writing, and discussion about aging. The Quartet’s B Double sharp program presents mini concerts for the aging or disabled, as well as their caregivers. Their musical programs targeting people with Alzheimer’s and dementia, in association with the Door County Medical Center and Scandia Village.
Come and share your experiences and feelings about the journey of aging or memory loss. Attendees gather to connect with others who are facing similar circumstances. Bring questions about taking care of those with memory loss. These concerts and writing workshops help support patients and families with music, learning, and journaling.

The Quartet was formed in the fall of 2018, and launched in collaboration between Midsummer’s Music, the Fine Arts Institute at East High in Green Bay, and St. Nobert College in De Pere.
The program is free of charge and no registration is necessary.
Awesome post! Keep up the great work! 🙂
